I have a vintage Christmas village from my grandma and mom. I remember it being displayed in their homes when I was growing up. For a festive look, I wanted to design a Vintage Style Christmas Wreath using the village pieces.
Adding a touch of vintage to my Christmas decorating always gets my creative juices flowing.
This post is my first time collaborating with The International Bloggers Club. It’s going to be a great experience working with these talented bloggers.
Each blogger has creative and innovative Christmas décor to share with you. I will be sharing their links at the end of this post for you to enjoy.
Digging through my Christmas craft stash and ornaments, I decided to use what I had, including a 26 inch Mountain Meadow wreath from Balsam Hill. Now I was ready to get started.
I carefully placed the village houses and church throughout the wreath.
Then it was time to add a few Christmas picks. I like the long “needles”, crystalized stems and bright red berries.
Each of the handmade ceramic bells were a gift from my grandma. They hung on my first Christmas tree as a married woman. (That was a very long time ago.)
Aren’t they darling? I love the hand-painting and script.
For more texture and color, I tucked in vintage and new bottle brush trees.
The red and gold trees were from the village, originally. And I love it.
Hanging the newly decorated Vintage Christmas Wreath on a thrifted red chair was ideal for styling a Christmas vignette.
Using my hymnal as an accessory opened to “Silent Night” is apropos for Christmas.
Having this tiny spoon as a bookmarker was a perfect addition to my vignette. As it was another gift for our first married Christmas.
You can design your own Vintage Christmas Wreath with creativity and imagination. I hope you have been inspired to decorate for the Holiday celebrations coming up soon.

Welcome to the club Meegan! I love your vintage wreath; it’s such a special keepsake amongst your other treasures! And hanging it on that vintage red chair? Brilliant!

Meegan your wreath is really beautiful and the fact that the village pieces are more or less family heirlooms makes it even more special. It gives your wreath a vintage vibe. And Welcome to IBC it is awesome that you are now a part of the group.

How lovely Meegan and it’s even more special because of all the memories the ornaments you’ve added to the wreath hold and then there’s the gorgeous red berries and lights too. P.S. I’m super happy you’re part of the International Blogger’s Club.

Welcome Meegan, so glad to have you join our group! What a great idea for reusing vintage ornaments in a different way. I love the vignette you created on a vintage chair too. I didn’t know it until visiting here today that my scrap wood village needs a Scandinavian village wreath! LOL

Love this wreath! Since I’m not lucky enough to have such a charming little village set to add to my wreath….I think maybe I’ll look up the diy Putz houses and try my hand at some of those glittery little gems on it! I DO have the same Hymnal though! ❤️
