Create your own DIY Mini Paper Napkin Pennant with an easy tutorial. Using a few components you can design and create a unique ambiance for a birthday party, Christmas tree or wedding receptions.

This DIY project could not be any easier. Have fun and enjoy using your creativity.
Choose your favorite paper napkins for your event. I found mine at Home Goods. But have linked some pretty ones for you to choose from in the component list below.
Here’s everything you will need:
1 package-6 1/2 x 6 1/2 inch paper napkins (to match your event or decorations)
1 ruler
1 pencil
1 glue gun
1 yard cotton string or jute twine

Once you have your napkins, scissors and string 0r twine you are ready to get started.

Open up your napkin and choose the part of the napkin pattern you want to use for your mini pennant. Since I was styling a “Summer Beach Tree”-the starfish and coral seemed to be the best choice.
At this point don’t separate the layers of the paper napkin. Keeping the layers will help from too thin of napkin and seeing through to the glue.

Using your ruler measure out 2 1/4 inch length sides for each “diamond”. Draw each one with your pencil.
With your paper scissors carefully cut out each “diamond”. Depending on how long and full you want your mini pennant, you can make as few or as many as you want.

Now with your hot glue gun and hot glue sticks, attach the string or twine to the center points of your “diamonds”. Be careful not to burn yourself.

Put a small dot of hot glue to one side of the bottom part of the “diamond”-as pictured above.

Fold over the top of the “diamond” so the top and the bottom stay adhered together. Once again, as pictured above.

Each of the pennant pieces are approximately 2 1/2 inches apart. You don’t HAVE to be exact. That is completely up to what you like and YOUR taste.
Making a DIY Mini Paper Napkin Pennant could not be easier! Especially since you can choose your favorite paper napkins to fit the theme you want.

Once you have glued all of your napkins you are ready to use it wherever you want. Hanging on a Christmas tree adds layers and interest.

It would be darling hanging a a mantel, mirror, chandelier, headboard, in the kitchen, etc…

It will be fun to hear about your DIY Mini Paper Napkin Pennant and what YOU come up with.
