Dried Flower Pods for Christmas Decorating

November 14, 2018 By Meegan 5 Comments

My mom has a lovely horse ranch in Southern California. On that ranch she has a beautiful garden filled with gorgeous plants, succulents and flowers. Loads of flowers. She gave some of the dried flower pods. As soon as I saw them they reminded me of snowflakes. I thought it would be fun to use my Dried Flower Pods for Christmas Decorating.

As pretty as they are in their natural dried state.

What if I spray painted them with metallic colors, like copper, silver and gold?  And maybe a few of them with flat white paint?

Oh my goodness! I just love how the spray paint transforms each of the Dried Flower Pods for Christmas Decorating.

It was fun to see ALL the different ways I could use the Dried Flower Pods for Christmas Decorating.

From filling my vintage demi-john bottles, adding them to my Christmas tree, to making a pretty centerpiece in my vintage silver champagne bucket.

I love how each of the Dried Flower Pods for Christmas Decorating turned out. Each flower pod is unique and beautiful, anytime of year.

I also have a great time when I get to share thrifty style ideas with the Thrifty Style Team each month. This month is no exception. I am always amazed at the talented ladies that I get to share with the 2nd Wednesday of each month.

From amazing home décor, Christmas decorations and thrifted finds, you will always be inspired when you look through the Thrifty Style Team projects.

Sit back, grab your favorite drink and enjoy each and every one.

I think those are pretty cool. They look vaguely familiar to me, any idea what plant they are from? I hope your moms ranch isn’t by any fires!
