Last year I decorated our Christmas tree with emerald green and red. And I LOVED it. So that was the plan again this year-until…

finding over 100 aqua ornaments at the thrift store for just 5 bucks!

THAT changed my whole direction and the creative juices started flowing. My first thought was aqua and lavender. I bought a few lavender ornaments, placed them on the tree with the thrifted aqua ones. Nope, not what I wanted. It looked TOO fairy/childlike to me.
I TRIED to like it. Really, I did. The color combination just would not fit my own “style”.
I couldn’t get the gorgeous red ornaments out of my mind. They were sparkly, vibrant and they would go perfectly with aqua, PLUS a touch of pink, gold or silver.

Thus began my quest for Aqua and Red Christmas Tree Ideas.

Since the tree has “warm” lights, the gold ornaments and berries blended smoothly.

AND the small touches of pink were the softness that was needed.

I love how the thrift store aqua ornaments blend well with the higher priced red and pink ones. You would never guess that the aqua ornaments are thrifted finds.

As always, the highlight of our Christmas tree is the handmade ornament made by my grandma. She gave it to us our first Christmas after we were married-48 years ago.

I selected unique red and pink ornaments, as well as gold berry picks from Ralph Jones Display in Las Vegas. Their Christmas decorations are stunning and beautifully staged in a large warehouse filled with Santas, reindeer, dozens of decorated trees, ornaments, ribbons and more. You can’t help be leave there inspired.

I hope you enjoyed this highlight for Aqua and Red Christmas Tree Ideas. It’s been so much fun creating something that’s unique to my own style. I would love to hear your thoughts.
