Every night our front door step is filled with cookies at Christmastime. It has been so fun. Mix thoroughly:
1 cup butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 tsp coconut flavoring
Work in until dough holds together:
2 1/4 cups flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup shredded coconut
Roll dough by tablespoonfuls with 4-5 chocolate chips inside. Place onto ungreased baking sheet.
Bake 10-12 minutes or until set but not brown. While warm, roll the cookie in powdered sugar. About 5 minutes later roll in powdered sugar again.
Seriously like a melted chocolatey, coconutty mouth of goodness. YUMmmmmmmmm….
Let me know if you give it a try.
Our Coconut Chocolate Cakes were gone very quickly!!
Have YOU ever made up your own cookie recipe before? I have a couple of times, and it is really fun with trial and error to see what I can come up with. I
