As Christmas is drawing closer, most of you may already have your tree(s) up and trimmed-ready for the BIG day. And yet, there are some of you that have traditions of waiting until Christmas Eve to decorate with family and friends. I hope you can gain some inspiration with these Cottage Style Christmas Trees that I have posted throughout the years.

Sometimes it’s challenging to use what you already have.
And other times you want something with a fresh, clean style.

As it was when I received a Christmas tree from Balsam Hill. As well as new ornaments, picks, tree skirt and a stunning star topper. Wow! Was that fun!

The shapes and sizes of the ornaments were similar to seashells or coral.

Ideal for a coastal cottage style tree.

After visiting Maryland state where the well known Offray ribbon factory was-It was the inspiration for decorating a whimsical, colorful, plaid and pom pom tree.

Being that my favorite color is blue, the plaid was a great way to incorporate those blue touches.

A favorite cottage Christmas tree is the Memory Christmas Tree. After planning and envisioning this tree, it came out just as I had hoped.

With pictures of loved ones that have passed, it made for a conversation piece and highlight for celebrating Christmas that year.

The pictures tucked into the branches didn’t need frames or hooks. Each one was carefully placed at eye height.

For an ultimate cottage style tree, vintage tea cups hanging on the tree branches was a lovely cottage touch.

Resting colorful ornaments in each cup with wispy shred was just what the creative juices wanted.

The tea cups where attached with wired ribbon for security and a little glam. Some of the tea cups were my grandma’s and others were thrifted finds.

After decorating basically the same style for years, it was time to try something “out of the box”. Purchasing some royal blue and silver glittery ribbon, it was time to get a glam look started. The point was to use the white, silver and blue ornaments that I already had. Yet create a new cottage look.

Oh my goodness! What a great look and style for our new (to me) apartment cottage. I am pretty sure I did this style for 3 years, gradually adding more blue ribbons, bulbs with silver and blue picks, as well. There were many compliments on the cottage style Christmas tree.

Last year, I received a flocked tree from King of Christmas. And I love it. Along with that, changing up the colors and style once more. Designing a tree with red, gold, silver, bronze and spots of Christmas green was the goal. So stunning! Lots and lots of compliments on this tree.

So many of the new ornaments are from Ralph Jones Display Company here in Las Vegas. (Not a paid post. I just LOVE their ornaments and inspiration.)

On every tree, every year, you will find the ornament that my grandma made for us for our FIRST Christmas married. That was 48 years ago.

THEN this year, as you may already know, I found a bag of aqua ornaments for $5. There were OVER a hundred ornaments in the bag. This inspired me to use the red, gold and silver ornaments from last year combined with the thrifted aqua ornaments. And I COULD NOT be more pleased!

Probably the prettiest tree I have decorated. And you can see how my style has evolved. It’s so satisfying to use what you have. Change it into something fresh, eye-catching and festive.
Now let’s look at tabletop Christmas trees with a cottage style.

I LOVE the ocean and anything to replicate it. Whether it’s seashells, sea glass, bottles filled with sand or even napkins. This tabletop tree is also from King of Christmas and designed for a Coastal Summer cottage.

Decorating for this tree brought out ALL the coastal vibes to share from Summer into the Christmas season.

Of course, there has to be a blue vintage style tree in our apartment cottage. As well as resting on my husband’s sled from his childhood.

This dollar store tree was hand flocked and now rests in a hand painted terracotta pot. Super easy for cottage style.

Another favorite would have to be a tabletop Christmas tree resting in an Anthropogie knock off flower pot. Unique and fun.

For a more rustic look set a tabletop Christmas tree in a handmade barnwood box. And decorate with olive green glass bulbs. It’s a one and done look. And so simple.

I hope you have enjoyed and gained some inspiration for your own Cottage Style Christmas Trees. Whether you like seashells, glitter, pompoms, plaid ribbon, vintage or metallic. Whatever YOU like is best!

Enjoy and have fun decorating your OWN Cottage Style Christmas Tree.
