Decorating For Summertime with Shells can be as easy or as complicated as you want. You can use your shell collection, or purchase them at an online store. You can spend a lot or very little. All it takes is a little imagination, some sand, coral, a few vases, a cake pedestal, vintage jars, and lots of shells.

Sea Shells for Home Decor

I started collecting shells when I was a little girl. I can remember going to the beach with my grandparents and my grandma taught me how to look for shells. That is when I became addicted (okay, well, obsessed) to collecting shells, sand, sea glass and even rocks.

My kids have even taught their kids about collecting shells. Now when the grandkiddos come for a visit, we look through the shells, and rocks.

We like to lay them across a table or the floor and play “mix and match”.

Now let’s talk about a few ideas about Decorating For Summertime with Shells.

Summer Decorating with Shells

I like to fill any vessel I have with shells, rocks, moss and sand. My vessels are vases, spice bottles, glass canisters or even a vignette of all of them combined together.

Shells for Summer. What a Great idea!

I even use shells as a vessel.
