Easter Book Page and Tissue Paper Wreath

April 4, 2014 By Meegan 29 Comments

Today is my turn to share my Easter craft.  I am happy to have you here while I share my Easter Book Page and Tissue Paper Wreath.  This is an easy and festive way to share Easter and/or Spring with your neighbors and visitors.

Welcome to my home…

On my front door you will see my version of an Easter Book Page and Tissue Paper Wreath.

Let me show you what I used:

printed tissue paper

solid tissue paper

shredder scissors

straw wreath form

hot glue gun/hot glue sticks

vintage book pages

Looking on Pinterest, you will find several tutorials to make your flowers. Using a printed tissue paper, I made 3 large tissue flowers.

Making three smaller flowers with solid tissue paper, I then used shredder scissors to add variety.

These are the scissors I used.  Aren’t they awesome for crafts???

Using a glue gun, I covered my straw wreath form with my vintage book pages.  In some areas, I had to overlap so you can’t see the straw wreath.  This took a little time, but it was not stressful at all.  It was fun to see it all come together.

When the book pages were in place, I began to set my flowers where I thought they would look best.  I like them strategically placed close together, but not bunched.  Using a glue gun I attached the flowers.

I even opted to make a few book page leaves for added texture.

The pink flowers remind me of peonies.  I really like how the pink and green look together.  The colors say “Spring” to me.

I am glad you came by to see my version of my Easter Book Page and Tissue Paper Wreath.

Meegan! I love it! I thought those were real flowers at first. I have shredder scissors I bought for herbs that I only used once. I didn’t like cleaning them. :( But to use them for crafts,,,,no cleaning! Thanks for sharing and Happy Easter to you and your family. ~Jeanette
