How To Make a Spring Hostess Gift

March 11, 2016 By Meegan 1 Comment

I am happy you stopped by today. I have a simple gift for you to make to celebrate the season changing. I am glad you are here to join along with me as I show you How To Make a Spring Hostess Gift. It involves tulips and you don’t even have to have a green thumb! That is a huge relief for me. Since I have a black thumb with just about every plant I have ever owned. I try. I REALLY try.

So if you haven’t been here before. I try to make everything as easy as possible. This is definitely one of those projects.

When you are ready to learn How To Make a Spring Hostess Gift, this is what you will need:

tulip bulbs (or any of your favorite bulb flowers) IE; daffodils, irises

soil

brown paper packaging

jute

scissors

Tulip Spring Gifts

I bought my tulips at our local nursery. As we live in a tiny condo and do not have space to grow a garden (Insert sad face) I took the tulips out of the soil.

BUT, I carefully left most of the soil on the bulb and roots. Easy, right?

I cut brown paper package paper into 18 inch squares. I gathered the paper up around the base of the bulb and leaves.

With an 18 inch length of jute, I tied the brown package paper around the tulip bulb. You can pull it pretty tight without harming the leaves or bulb.

I made six altogether for a tea party I hosted last week. I wanted to give my guests a gift for attending.

(They LOVED it.)
