My Caprese Salad

October 13, 2012 By Meegan 9 Comments

Don’t you just love the taste of basil??  I like it on my pizza, on my spaghetti and in my salads.  Today I want to share my Capese salad I have been making lately, and it is so delish, you will need to try it soon!

{Meegan’s Caprese Salad}

1 head romaine lettuce, chopped

2 fresh tomatoes, chopped

1/2 cup chopped mozzarella cheese

4-6 basil fresh leaves,  sliced

1/2 avocado, sliced

Newman’s balsamic vinaigrette

My Caprese salad has become my “go to” salad lately.  The ingredients are fresh, and go with just about any meal.  Bake a potato and you have a whole meal with this salad.  Maybe even some garlic bread.  Mmmmmmm…..

I hope you have a fun-filled Saturday!!  I am off to teach how to make a Coffee Filter Wreath to some of my friends!!  Wish me luck!!
