Hello! Welcome to What Meegan Makes today.
I am excited to show you my New Thrifted Finds. It was a great day at the thrift store! There was so much to see and find. I love when that happens, don’t you? The best part? I didn’t pay more than $5 for ALL of it. LOVE that!

Alrighty then, let’s see what I found…
*This post was updated November 2025.
Okay. So, there was a stack of Christmas plates. They were part of an AVON collection. Each plate had a different year. Obviously someone had collected one every year.
I perused through the stack, crossing my fingers I would find 1977. Lo and behold, I found it! I love the Winter scene. And 1977 is the year my husband and I were married.

As I was heading to the checkout counter, one of the thrift store workers was pushing out a cart full of “new” items. I followed the cart. (Am I the only one that does that?) Anyway, I spotted this vintage looking crate. It was weathered, sturdy and just my style. I thought, “Hmmm…If it more than $3, I won’t get it.” Even though I REALLY liked it.

WooHoo! I couldn’t believe my eyes. It was 50 cents. Just in my price range! The chip in the wood is underneath on the bottom, so no big deal. I am excited to fill the crate with pine cones, Christmas ornaments, candles, vintage books and even my sea shells.

Unfortunately, I took the picture of this plaster tree crooked. Because it is in perfect condition and stands straight up and down. It just isn’t the color I want for my Christmas decor. But, a steal of a deal, nonetheless.
It was one of those days when the thrifting Gods were smiling upon me. And it was a lot of fun. I always like to share my New Thrifted Finds with YOU, because I know you like a good deal when you see one, too.
Thanks for joining me while I share my New Thrifted Finds. OH! And if you want to see MORE of my thrift store finds and trips, follow the hashtag #thriftingwithmeegan on Instagram.

I can’t wait to show you what I do with them in the coming weeks. Especially the tree!
I hope the thrifting Gods shine upon you very soon…
