One Set of Twin Sheets, Three Ways

June 19, 2014 By Meegan 10 Comments

One Set of Twin Sheets, Three Ways.  Crazy, right???  Not if you use a little creativity and imagination.  I bought a set of twin sheets and turned them into curtains for our living room, dining area and a cover for my grandma’s vanity seat.

Here is how I did it…

One Set of Twin Sheets, Three Ways

My twin sheets were purchased at Wal-Mart for approximately $14 a set.  They were the colors and striped look I was hoping to bring into our living room.

I cut the flat sheet exactly in half, length wise.

I folded over the raw edges.  Using an “iron on” hemming tape,  I hemmed my edges.  Easy peasy.

I bought curtain clips and hung my new curtains in our living room.  Yay!!  There is one way to use your  One Set of Twin Sheets, Three Ways.

Now, onto the second use.  Using the fitted sheet, I cut strips of fabric.  The strips were 2 sizes in length.  Looping them over my curtain rod, and pushing them close together, I had a new window covering.  I didn’t hem the strips.  I left the raw edges.

Doesn’t it look fab with my $8 chandy???  There is my second way to use One Set of Twin Sheets, Three Ways.  So fun, so far, right???

Ready for the last and final way to use One Set of Twin Sheets, Three Ways???

I had just enough fabric left over from the fitted sheet to recover my grandma’s vanity seat.

The fabric is the balance I was looking for in the vanity seat cover.

SO, I spent about $14 and used One Set of Twin Sheets, Three Ways.  I LOVE when thing like that happen!  It makes my day.

One Set of Twin Sheets 3 Ways

What would you make if you bought a set of twin sheets?  What would you create???  Could you use them MORE than 3 ways???  I would LOVE to hear all about it.

Thanks for stopping by and letting me share what I love to do.

OH!! Before I forget!!  Tomorrow is Field Trip Friday with Shanna from Restoration Redoux.  You will LOVE her taste, style and all of her talent.

Make it a terrific Thursday!!
