With a little creativity, scrapbook paper, a hot glue gun and a few pieces of faux greenery I created a Refreshed Summer Wreath.
I have this wreath. It’s not bad, I like it, but I needed to add MY touch. So I decided to make a refreshed Summer wreath. Easy enough, right? Now, the creative juices were flowing…
First, I cut off all of the ivy. There was something about this that just said,”old” to me.
I got out my glue gun and started to work. I thought it would look better with some newer, fresher looking greenery that I also used here.
With the new greenery, I wanted to add a Summer color. These pink flowers were just the right texture and touch. I also used them here.
I like yellow billy balls and decided to add a couple in my wreath, too. Can you spot them? I have some sticks that I like to use for more texture. So, I added a few of those as well.
Once I was pulling everything together, I realized a pennant would be the icing on the cake!
Here she is! My refreshed Summer Wreath! So much better!! Doesn’t she look happy hanging on our front door?
The pennant was just was she needed to finish her off. I am loving all of the textures and added color.
The greenery, the tiny pink flowers, the billy balls, and the sticks-perfection!
Yay! I now have a beautiful refreshed Summer wreath to welcome our guests.
It just a little time, glue, and creativity and now I have a new wreath.
Do you have a wreath that could use a little refreshing? I would love to hear about it. Really, I would!!
I promised you a sneak peek at my thrifted chairs:
I still have some more to do with them, so this is just a small peek into what I am working on.
