How To Style a French Bread Basket

September 21, 2017 By Meegan 2 Comments

You know that I LOVE vintage style pieces. Recently I received two French Bread Baskets and thought,”How To Style a French Bread Basket?” Hmmm…let’s see…

I started out with two vintage style French Bread Baskets. They are the look I like for our home decor.

But, What was I REALLY going to use them for?

How about on the coffee table filled with real fruit? It is a festive Fall look and yet could be used any time of year.

How To Style a French Bread Basket on my open kitchen shelving? These shelves are a focal point in our cottage in the desert. When you walk in our front door, this is one of the first things you see.

I like how the basket finishes off  the feel I am trying to create. The texture and added layer is exactly what I needed.

Using the same bottles and jars as my open shelves, the French Bread Basket can also be used in a tablescape. Fill the basket with the colors that fit your home and keep it there all year.

Okay, probably my favorite. A French Bread Basket sitting on my dryer. Ii is filled with laundry necessities IE; stain cleaner, fabric softener sheets, bar of soap, washing instructions for my quilt, etc.. Also, laying the basket is sitting on top of a crocheted table cloth. This adds layers and texture. Love it. (huge smile)

My husband collects vintage spice tins. And I KNEW the Vintage Style French Bread Basket, would be the perfect place to display them. Adding my grandma’s kitchen utensils, we now have a decorative spot just above our stove. Hubby is pleased to showcase his small collection.

You could also use a French Bread basket in your bathroom to hold toiletries, like shampoo, soaps, tissues, etc… How would you use a French Bread Basket? In home decor, as a functional piece?

Oh, and of course you can set a pretty towel in your basket and lay a warm loaf of French bread as a serving idea, too…

We get SO many compliments about our French Bread Baskets.

I could use those blue jars in a post I am doing on Fall Tablescapes. Great finds.
