Thrifted Christmas Wreath Makeover

December 17, 2014 By Meegan 5 Comments

Today I want to show you what I did with my Thrifted Christmas Wreath Makeover.  It definitely needed a little Christmas cheer.

Can you believe I bought this for a dollar?  Well, not this…

Thrifted DIY Christmas Wreath

But, this.

Not too shabby for Fall and/or Thanksgiving decor. BUT, seeing yellow in the TV room/office was just a little too much for my blue and red Christmas decorating.

After a bit (Okay, a lot of pondering) I had a fabulous idea.

And, if you want to do the same thing, this is what you will need:

One wreath-your choice: grapevine, berry, pine garland, wherever you want to add some Christmas cheer to.

1 can Krylon Metallic Silver Spray Paint ( I like this because it dries so fast)

Hot glue gun

hot glue sticks

1/2 inch mirrors

Why not spray paint the wreath with my Krylon silver metallic paint?  Hmmm…It was looking good, but needed something extra.

Christmas Wreath Mirrors

After searching for some bling at the craft store, I found some 1/2 inch glass mirrors.  This would add just the bling I wanted.

Once the paint was completely dry, I used hot glue to attach the tiny mirrors.

There was no rhyme or reason to where I placed them.  I just scattered them around the wreath.

Can you even believe it is the same wreath?  I can’t either!

Now that was SO easy.  With a fabulous new look for the Holidays.

I bet you have a wreath around your home that needs some attention and a little Christmas cheer.  Is it in your attic?  Garage?  On your front door?

Grab some silver (OR even gold metallic spray paint) and give your old wreath a new fresh look just like my Thrifted Christmas Wreath Makeover!

Thanks once again for stopping by today.  I hope you have been inspired to makeover your own wreath.  I would LOVE to hear all about it.

Make it a lovely Wednesday!
