Using Scrapbook Supplies to Decorate Can Vases

May 30, 2013 By Meegan 7 Comments

Using Scrapbook Supplies to Decorate Can Vases could not be easier!

I am having so much fun using scrapbook supplies to decorate can vases. See some of my most recent ideas, below.

My friend, Cortney works with Stampin’Up.  She sent me a few goodies to play around with.

I have used cans for my moss vases and candle holders :

And after receiving my goodies from Cortney, I could hardly wait to use my cans again…

Using cans and paints from around our home, I started to work.  This color pallet is one of my favorite right now.

Using 3 punch out flowers and buttons I love how this can looks.  I bent to petals for more detail and depth.  The crystal buttons are an sweet addition.

Love, love, love this rose garland!  I have another idea for this garland, too.  The “love” ticket is too sweet.  I think it would be a beautiful addition for a bridal shower.

Okay, this wasn’t in my Stampin’Up goodies.  The ribbon and key are actually from a wedding invitation I received. The ribbon and key were tied around the invitation, and I just slipped it over my can vase.  So simple, and it fits with my theme of can vases.

Love vintage lace.  Don’t you love the detail of the lace?  I like the look with the contrasting vintage coral paint.

A delicate doily with a little “love” banner finishes off my cans.  I like to use doilies as much as possible.  The was just the right size for my can vase.

As I have showed you before, you can also use your cans as a candle-holder, as well.  They would add the ambiance you need for any Summer party, shower or outdoor event.

Cans are so versatile.  You could fill them with flowers, pens & pencils, eating utensils, buttons, sewing items, lace, straws, etc…The list is as long as your imagination will take you.

Thanks Cortney for the fun goodies!

I have so many left over, I will have to get busy and make more things to share with you.

I hope you have been inspired today.  Save your cans and fill them with pretty things that make you smile!!  And, don’t forget about using scrapbook supplies to decorate can vases-easy peasy.
