Simple Mothers Day Craft For Kids

May 11, 2013 By Meegan 6 Comments

At the end of this post there will be affiliate links, at no extra cost to you.

While we had 2 of our grand-kids this past week, the kids and I decided to make their Momma a small gift.  This is a simple Mother’s Day Craft for kids.  Super easy and quick.

We wrote all the things they love about their mom on Popsicle sticks and placed them in a glittered peat pot, added some lace and a stamped note.

Easy Mother's Day Craft

Some ideas were for their Simple Mothers Day Craft For Kids:

She tucks me in bed

She sings songs

I love her eyes

My mom takes me to Jack In The Box

She is kind to strangers

She cares for me

I love her hugs

She gives me kisses

She gave me 3 brothers

We play board games together

I let them come up with their own ideas and thoughts.  Those are always the most precious and thoughtful. After each thought I wrote their own name.  We came up with about 50 altogether.

They were so excited to give it to their Momma as soon as she walked in the door, they were giving it to her.  Don’t you love the enthusiasm of a child?

This is a perfect gift for a grandma, aunt, or anyone meaningful in your life for Mothers Day.  Actually, it is great for any occasion: Fathers Day, Birthday, Graduation, etc…

Super simple and always a treat to know your kids notice the small things you do for them.

Mothers Day Book Page Garland

May 6, 2013 By Meegan 5 Comments

Hello Hello!!  I am excited today to share a tutorial for a Mothers Day Book Page Garland.  It’s super easy and perfect for a Mother’s Day decor!!

Mothers Day Book Page Garland

So, here we go!!

Elements needed:

Chipboard cards

Paint

Stencils

Twine

Fan Folded Book Pages

Hole Punch

I found these fabric covered chipboard cards at Michaels (4 in a package).  The package was labeled “Journal”, but I thought I could use them for a garland incorporating  it with my book page garland.

Using stencils I decided to spell out “Mom”.

I used craft paint along with my stencils.  Pink was just the right color!!  Love it.

Using the same technique as I did with my book page garland, I had a Mother’s Day Garland in no time at all.
