Christmas Cookie Exchange

November 24, 2014 By Meegan 18 Comments

Happy Monday!  Welcome to the first day of our Christmas Cookie Exchange.  It’s going to be a fun-filled week with lots of Christmas cookie recipes for your baked goods.

We will share 5 recipes each day, for 3 days in a row.  That’s 15 recipes to add to your Christmas Cookie file.

Christmas Cookie Exchange and Link Party

Today I am sharing my own recipe for Butter Lemon Snow Drops.

I was in the kitchen the other day and came up with my own recipe for Butter Lemon Snow Drops!!  And are they yummy!!  So yummy, in fact that I thought you might like them too.

Not, only that BUT they are featured on Pillsbury.com!  I am so honored.

I am a HUGE lemon lover!  You mention lemon and my mouth starts to water.  These cookies will do the same.  Absolutely the right amount of tangy lemon flavor, and the right sweetness to balance the whole overall taste.

Butter Lemon Snow Drops

{Meegan’s Butter Lemon Snow Drops}

Mix thoroughly:

1 cup butter (softened)

1/2 cup powered sugar

the juice from 1 whole lemon

2 tsp lemon zest

Blend in:

2 cups flour

1/4 tsp salt

If dough is soft, cover and chill

Heat oven to 400*.  Shape dough into 1 inch balls.  Place 1 inch apart on ungreased baking sheet.  Bake 8-10 minutes.

Immediately remove from baking sheet.  Roll and cover with

1/2 cup powdered sugar

These are buttery lemony melt in your mouth goodness.  And absolutely necessary for your Christmas baking.  They wrap up perfectly as gifts and for snacking while you are decorating your tree.

I am a lemon lover, that’s for sure.

Your butter lemon snow drop cookies look mouth watery! I love citrus, so I am sure I will be making these this season. So happy to be joining you on the 2014 Christmas Cookie Exchange. Happy Thanksgiving.

Hi Meegan, I’m a lemon lover, too, and these look delicious! I just wanted to clarify if you used all-purpose flour before I make them!

How much lemon juice is “one large”?
Does the recipe call for 2 separate 1/2 cups of powdered sugar?

Yes it does call for 2 separate 1/2 cups powdered sugar. One for the dough, and one for coating the cookies. Thanks for asking.
