This particular bouquet had LOTS of Daisy Mums. There were also Tiger Lillie and a few green berries and green leaves. I decided to cut each stem down. I placed them in vintage jars, bottles and salt and pepper shakers.
With my vintage bird cage as a backdrop and a few vintage books as risers, I had a vignette that I can enjoy anytime of year.
I found a dozen roses on sale for 3 dollars. Steal of a deal, right? Cutting the stems fairly short and using my tea pot, I had a lovely centerpiece. Adding a few eucalyptus sprigs and leaves was just the touch I needed.
Gerbera daisies are always a favorite flower. A peach daisy in a blue thrifted vase with berries, gives me a fresh look on my vintage cupboard.
Using the tea pot centerpiece, the Gerbera Daisy, and a few other touches, I have a beautiful fresh flower vignette.

So if you are hosting a party, shower or Bar-b-Que, shop your supermarket for fresh flowers. Sometimes they even have a separate basket filled with “expired” flowers at a fraction of the cost.
