AND for today’s post I will show you How To Hang a Barn Wood Box. Fun, right???
Okay, so I have had the barnwood boxes for almost 3 years now. I have used them for parties, weddings and for my own home decor.
BUT, my heart REALLY wanted to hang at least one of the one the wall.
The only thing I could picture was to actually hammer nails through the barn wood box and attaching it to the wall. AND, I didn’t like that idea AT ALL.
While I was at Lowe’s earlier this week, I spotted these brackets. They were the size and style I liked.
And, although black is a great “neutral” color, it’s not for me in our home. I used Fusion Mineral Paint to change the color to work well in our home. The color I used is Damask. It’s like a mauve/brownish color.
Once we measured the width of the barn wood box, we used a level to ensure each bracket was the same height on the wall.
To also ensure a true balance when the barn wood box rested on the brackets, we placed the brackets closer together. This way I could center the barn wood box with a few inches hanging over.
I like the look of the painted brackets with the barn wood box. It gives depth and an texture to the room.
Hanging the brackets close enough together, I am also able to set the barn wood box up right for a different look.
Setting the box right side up, gives it a completely different look, altogether.
I really like the scrolly look of the brackets, don’t you? And the versatility of the barn wood box. So MANY ways to style and accessorize…
Now, I have learned How To Hang a Barn Wood Box the easy way. Can you imagine me trying to hammer nails through that hard barn wood? It would have either fallen apart or been so hard that NOTHING would have been able to drill through it.
I want to thank Lowe’s for supporting this post and giving me an opportunity to teach you How To Hang a Barn Wood Box. BE sure to visit all my blogging creative ideas, too!

I adore your barnwood box! And how clever of you to hang the brackets close enough together to be able to display your box either horizontally or vertically!
