Wedding Open House Tour

November 20, 2012 By Meegan 12 Comments

Good Tuesday to all of you!!

Before I forget-You can now stayed connected with me through LinkedIn!!  I just signed up-so I am hoping you will become one of my links, too!!

I am catching up from the Wedding Open House.  We said good-bye to our family and friends yesterday, and now I would LOVE to share a few {well, a lot} of pictures with you from our day.  I can’t take all the credit from how fun and creative everything looks because I had SO many talented and fun friends there to help me.  And, the bride her own creativity going on as well.  Don’t you love it when you are surrounded by those who love creativity as much as you do???!!

I am going to walk you through the tour so you can see what it would have been like had you attended the Open House. Sound good?

As you walk up to enter the home, to your left were these pots and sign to welcome you.  Yes, I made the frame for about $4.  (By the evening the pots were filled with blue pansies)

This chair seat was red.  The bride covered it with blue fabric and used pillows from my bedroom as a warming accent.  There were also mason jars along the walkway lit up with tea lights.

Don’t you love these “Mr and Mrs” signs hanging by the front door??

My coffee filter wreath hanging on the door.  I just love these 2 birds!!  We also used this at the reception.

The sign in table.  Yep, you got it-the bride drew this picture, then each guest left their thumb print (for a leaf look) with their name around it.  She is SO talented!!  I thought this vignette came out perfectly.  So many details to see.

As you made your way through to the back yard this was on your right.  We loved using the poster size pictures.  Again, the elements here were also used at the dinner and reception a few weeks ago.

The gift table.  I made the card box before I had a blog.   (I hold sweet cards and notes from my family in it)

*We are half way through the tour*

As you walk out to the porch and to your right, you saw the “Hot Chocolate & Candy Bar”.  I shared the dresser with you yesterday.  The frames, book page banner,  and the cardboard chalk board were from our home.  This dresser made me smile!

This is the “Sweet Things” table. We used barn wood boxes, various cake pedestals, a coffee filter banner, chalkboards, my Fall jar, frames, fabric flowers, a tulle wreath (Tutorial to come soon), our front door wreath, mercury glass candle holders, and I added a doily mobile (tutorial to come soon).  I had so much fun putting and layering all the textures and elements to this table.  I literally jumped up and down when it was finished!!

As you walk past the pizza oven, the tables and chairs were set up on the grass.  We used a lot of the same elements on the tables from here and here.

Instead of using the pages as a banner, we used the book pages from here as runners for these tables.  Cute, huh???

As you sat at your table you could see the pizza oven!!  How cool is this!!  There were several kinds of pizza.  Thai chicken, black olive & mushroom, pepperoni, supreme, etc…Nummers!!!

My friend Tracy had just bought this wrought iron tree.  It was staring at us all day.  We didn’t know what to do with it.  Should we put gifts, drinks, or treats on it??  We looked at each other and said, “Book Pages!!!””  We still had a few coffee filter strings, book pages and clothes pins-we went to town hanging everything on here.  Thanks to Lori and Tracy it came out looking great-AND a wonderful conversation piece!!  All night long people would ask me what it was and why the dictionary pages.  I loved it-we had achieved our goal!!

I hope you enjoyed your tour from the Wedding Open House.  The evening was filled with family, friends, food, laughter and love.

I need to give a HUGE thank you to our friends Greg and Tracy that let us borrow their home, yard, and pizza oven for the day and evening!!  It was absolutely fabulous!!

To mys dear friends-Lori, Barbara, Alayna, Sherida, Tracy, Rosie, Page, Linda, and Michele: Thank you for all of your creativity and help throughout the night and beyond!!

We seriously have the best friends ever!!  We have a lot to be thankful for, that is for sure!!

Make it a terrific Tuesday!!

I will be seeing you on  Pinterest, Facebook, Hometalk, Google +, Stumble Upon, and now LinkedIn!!  Woo Woo!!
