How To Make a EASY Spring Tablescape

March 26, 2015 By Meegan 2 Comments

Hey everyone!  I have had some family visiting for the past 3 days, so I haven’t been posting recently. BUT, I am happy to be here today and show you How To Make a EASY Spring Tablescape.

Easy Easter Place Cards

Last week I showed you how I made place cards using peat pots and office tags

Now I would like to show you how I used them with my Spring tablescape.

How To Make an EASY Spring Tablescape

My first layer on my table is a hand crocheted table cloth.  It is a cream color.  It is ideal for this table because any shade of pastels or bright colors will lay nicely on this tablescape.

I decided to go with blue and yellow for this tablescape.

Want to know a secret? Shhh… I don’t spend a lot on my decorative dishes.  I purchase them at my local dollar store.

Layering plates is a great way to incorporate depth and color.

After the plates are layered, it was time to add my Easy Peat Pot Place Cards.

I have some yellow gingham cloth napkins that my grandma made and they match perfectly.

For this tablescape I am using my nicer silverware.  Not silver, but very nice.  I made this simple, so there isn’t a salad fork, or dessert spoon.

Spring Table with Yellow and Blue

For an easy and simple tablescape, the for is placed to the left of the plate. Your spoon and knife should always be on the right.  With the knife blade facing the plate.  Your glass should be at the top of the knife.

I really like to look of moss in any decor.  So I placed some on the base of my vintage candlesticks.

Since I used my Princess House crystal glasses, I was able to put Meyer lemons in the glasses for even more yellow coloring. The pastel, speckled Easter eggs were also a nice touch.

Spring Wrapped Bakers Twine Candles

White candles can be used all year long, for any holiday. Using bakers twine wrapped around white candles gives a touch of color and rexture, without buying different candles. Easy peasy.

I like the overhead view so you can see the details in the crocheted tablecloth, how colorful it is with blue and yellow.  And, also how the table is set.

Great spring table. Is that a pot liner, not a flower pot? Love it with the lace.

    Hi Meegan,
I’m so glad I found your blog. You have incredible ideas :) I’m looking forward to reading through your archives.
I just started blogging a little over 3 months ago, and I love it. I’m doing 3 posts a week currently, but may look at increasing that number.
My question to you is if we might be able to collaborate on a few posts, or if I might be able to do a link to one of your projects on my blog?
Let me know what you think. I’m new to this, so I don’t really fully understand how linking parties work, but I’m open to trying. Thanks :)
