Tea with Dessert-A Family Tradition

February 5, 2016 By Meegan 17 Comments

Today I am excited to share a family memory with you. When I was young every Sunday my family would visit my grandparents. AND, we always enjoyed Tea with Dessert-A Family Tradition.

As I got older with a family of my own, the Sunday tradition changed. My grandparents and my mom would go out to dinner and then come to visit our family of four. We would have dessert every Sunday with them. My grandma would bake a cake or my mom would bring cookie and ice cream.

Lipton Tea for Sunday Night Dessert

One thing was for certain. We always had tea for dessert.

Tea for Dessert

Grandma would pull Lipton tea bags out of her purse just for this occasion. She always had enough for everyone.

We would visit while sipping on our tea with dessert. We would talk about current events, watch our babies toddling around and enjoy our family time together. I treasure those memories.

I wish my grand parents were still around so that they could try the various new flavors and of Lipton tea choices.

Lipton Tea Varieties

I think Grandma would like the new Lipton Berry Hibiscus herbal tea. All of Lipton’s herbal teas are made with real ingredients combined with their best herbal blends to awaken the senses.

Grandpa would choose Lipton Tea-Amazingly Grey. It is full of unique flavor with bold aromas for a twist on traditional black tea.

I am pretty sure my mom would enjoy the updated Lipton green teas that have a light, fresh taste, bright clearer color and delightful aroma.

I hope you will enjoy the uplifting and refreshing flavor in every sip of Lipton Green Teas! Available now nationwide.

Thanks for joining me today and letting me share a fond memory of having Tea with Dessert-A Family Tradition.

Make it a lovely day.

Meegan! My Grandma did the same thing! Maybe that is why I am an avid tea drinker. Love me a cup of Lipton ! Great story – brought back memories to me.

What a sweet memory! I will look for the berry hibiscus herbal tea – I love tea but like to limit my caffeine in the afternoon – thanks for the tip.

I enjoyed reading about your family traditions involving tea. No one in my family drank hot tea. Living in the South, we always had iced tea, even in winter. As an adult, I have come to love a good cup of hot tea in the afternoon. I have not seen these LIpton teas but I will look for them, especially the green tea!

What sweet memories! My mom has my great-grandmother’s teacup collection. When I was young, we used to drink tea out of them . . . I loved looking at all of the fancy patterns and colors.
