Top Ten Best of 2015

December 31, 2015 By Meegan 17 Comments

Hey everyone! Can you believe the year of 2015 is winding down so fast? I am blown away at how quickly time goes by. Doesn’t it seem like every year is faster than the last? Today I am thrilled to have put a post together for you titled the Top Ten Best of 2015. My blog has seen changes and I have stretched my self further than I thought I could go.

So in saying that, let’s get started with Best of 2015 by What Meegan Makes.

Top Ten of 2015 by meeganmakes.com

I will begin with Number 10…

Thrifted Table Stained

I was so pleased with my $10 Thrifted Table Makeover. I was the first time I had sanded anything with an electric sander (I am now hooked!)

How To Make a Burlap and Book Page Garland

For a fun craft, I made a garland using book pages and burlap. It looks great in our home all year long.

Flower Basket Made From a Spice Rack Purchased at Lowes

After wanting something unique and beautiful on our front door, I created a flower basket out of a spice rack. I know, crazy, right? But it LOOKS amazing.

Sea Glass Tray

I was challenged by Porch.com to create a home accessory for $15 or less. That was easy. I ALWAYS wanted a sea glass tray-so I made my own for less than $15. I love this look and it perfect for the cottage style I like so much.

Blue and White Shelves

If you know me at all, you know how much I love blue. Definitely my favorite color. This past Summer I filled my kitchen shelves with my vintage blue mason jars, and white accessories. After Christmas, I am going to style my shelves like this again. I like it that much! This was also featured on French Country Cottage. (That was a huge honor for me)

Tea Saucer and Plate Gallery Wall

The past few years I have collected tea cups and saucers. I see them as pieces of art. I wish they could tell me where they have been and who they have seen. Once I found the sizes and shapes I liked, I hung them on my living room wall, as a plate collage.

PB-Inspired-Side-Table-Makeover

I have developed a passion for thrifting and finding bargains. I found this lovely night stand and painted it with my own recipe for chalk paint. It now resides in our living room. It looks like a PB piece, doesn’t it?

Vintage Box Springs With Tulips and Hankies

After finding a WHOLE vintage box spring in the desert, I came home and started to work on my Box Spring Vases with Hankies. I love this look all year long.

Farmhouse Coffee Table Makeover

Like I said before, I have developed a love for thrifting. I found this “bench” at a garage sale and transformed it into a Farmhouse Coffee Table. With lumber, a little paint a a few hinges, the top now looks like a vintage gate. And I am enjoying it very much.

AND COMING IN AT NUMBER ONE IS…Crystal Ladder

Something that I really enjoy in our home is the vintage ladder with fairy lights and crystals. My hubby hung it for me in our living room, and I marvel at it everyday.
