Happy Wednesday! Welcome to the Christmas Traditions Blog Tour!
I am excited to be here with some of the most talented bloggers I know. We are each taking a day this week to tell you about our Christmas Traditions.
Thanks to Rachel at Like a Saturday for hosting and organizing this fabulous Christmas Traditions Blog Tour.
AND, if you are here from visiting Carrie at Lovely, Etc. a VERY special welcome to YOU!
I love traditions at Christmas Time. I love the traditions we have had in our own family for the last 37+ years.
While raising a family with seven children, there were many traditions our children expected.
I am going to share just of few of them today.
I hope you will sit back relax and enjoy our family Christmas traditions. AND, maybe create a few of your own along the way.
My Hubby collects Christmas snow globes and music boxes, so each snow globe has a music box inside. We have 20+ snow globes at our last count.
I collect Nativity sets. I started out as a young bride receiving my first one.
We have several all around our home during December.
Another Christmas tradition is to decorate our Christmas tree right after Thanksgiving.
My grandma made us an ornament with one of our wedding pictures on it, for our first Christmas.
It has a special place front and center on our tree EVERY year.
My vintage Christmas angels are from the 30s. They are a part of our Christmas traditions every year, as well.
Placing them in a glass carafe, with Epsom salts adds a Wintry effect.
We have plenty of candy canes on hand. The 21 grandkiddos love that!
One family tradition at Christmas Time, is my Simmering Citrus Spice Potpourri.
It’s so easy to make:
{Meegan’s Holiday Simmering Citrus Spice Potpourri}
You will need:
fresh oranges (sliced)
fresh tangerines (cut in half)
lemons (optional)
cinnamon sticks
cloves
1 tsp REAL Vanilla
3 cups water
Your home will be filled with a fresh citrus aroma throughout the Christmas season.
I use mine about 3 days straight. Adding more water as needed. And keeping it in the fridge at night.
I hope you will try it as one of your new Christmas Traditions soon.
Your next stop on the Christmas Traditions Blog Tour will be with the talented Kelly Rowe from LiveLaughRowe.
She is sharing a wonderful recipe for a Holiday Gift Cake. I have no doubt that is is SO delish!
I am happy you stopped by today. Have fun on the rest of the Christmas Traditions Blog Tour.
