I am so happy you stopped by today! I have been wanting to buy a small wreath for months now. BUT I can’t bring myself to spend $20-$50. Yes, I am that cheap. So, I decided to make my own and show you How To Make a Simple Wreath. It takes a little time and patience, but in the end, you will have what you want for very little cost.
I have made other wreaths, but this was a little more challenging.
What You Will Need:
1 leafy bush or several stems
floral tape
strong scissors
I used the same steps that I did for my Cherry Blossom Wreath.
Have you ever used floral tape? You can purchase it at any craft store, or floral supply.
Floral tape is sticky. Some of that stickiness will get on your hands.
It’s okay, it will still adhere to itself.
Tip: When you use floral tape, you need to stretch and pull to make it “stick”. If you just wrap it , it will fall apart and not work. So make sure to pull and stretch for a good, secure hold.
The difference with this wreath is trying to get the “branches” approximately the same width apart.
I did not want it too look “perfect”. But I did want some symmetry.
As you tape your branches together, bend them slightly to gradually make a circle.
Once to have your circle, open and bend your branches open to create a wreath.
Where would YOU put a wreath that you made? Learning How To Make a Simple Wreath can lead to so many other ideas and projects. It is also a great way to accessorize your home.
I hope you make one soon and send me a picture! I would love to see what you come up with.
I am happy you stopped by today.
