DIY Chalkboard Labeled Bathroom Bottles

February 14, 2014 By Meegan Leave a Comment

[slideshow_deploy id=’6144′]

Happy Valentines Day everyone!!  This past week has been full, fun and exciting!  I made another Pinterest Party craft and I am excited to share it with you.  My DIY Chalkboard Labeled Bathroom Bottles are SO EASY.  They look fabulous in your bathroom or even a guest bath for visitors.  I think they would even be a great gift for a guest to take home with them.

You will love how easy and simple this craft is.  I will be sharing it at the Michaels Hometalk Party on Sunday.

I bought 3 different sizes of bottles.  I liked the various shapes, as well.  You can get all the same color and shape if you wish.  There were lots of colors to choose from:  yellow, hot pink, green and aqua.

To fill each bottle, I carefully poured the shampoo and body wash into the smaller bottles.  But when it came to the bath salts.  That was a little more tricky.  Using a piece of computer paper, I twisted it into a cone and placed it in the bottle.

Using a measuring cup, I carefully poured the bath salts into the paper cone.  I was careful not to spill or over pour the salts.  Patience was the key to not making a huge mess.

Once my jars were full, I placed a chalkboard label on each bottle.  Using the chalk that came with the labels, I wrote the name of each ingredient in the bottles.  I tried adding a little flair for fun.

I like to use jute anywhere I can.  It’s a creativite way to add some personality to a gift, jar or even my DIY Chalkboard Labeled Bathroom Bottles.  I wrapped the jute around the top of the bottle and tied a simple knot at the top to hold it together.

Since chalkboards are all the rage right now, these will look just fab in the bathroom sitting on a vintage china tray.  Adding a wash cloth tied with jute, also adds the perfect touch, don’t you think???

If you are following me on any social media, you will see that I have been talking, instagraming, and tweeting all about theMichaels Hometalk Pinterest Craft I have been working on!  It is so exciting to be paired up with Michaels and Hometalk.

If YOU want to attend a Pinterest Party, Michaels is having one at EACH and EVERY one of their stores in the US and Canada!  Yep, isn’t that awesome???  The exciting part about it, is that Michaels and Hometalk asked 100 bloggers to help them host the party.  So, YOU might get to meet a blogger when you attend your Michaels Hometalk Pinterest Party this Sunday!  For more information and all the details look here.

I hope you will visit your local Michaels this Sunday and make a craft that you have pinned.  Now, you have a set time to make it your own, instead of just looking at it on your Pinterest Board.  Sounds fun to me!!

I can’t wait to meet and craft with some of you and/or your friends!!

Make it a Happy Valentines Day!

12 Days of Christmas Home Tour

December 10, 2013 By Meegan 32 Comments

Hello Hello!!  It’s MY turn to share my home for the 12 Days of Christmas Home Tour.

I am thrilled to have you here.  We live in a 950 square foot condo, and I like to fill it to the brim with Christmas.  So let’s get on with the tour.

*This post was updated October 2025. The photography isn’t the best, but it brings back a lot of sentimental memories. As this post was a few weeks after my husband had a quadruple heart bypass. He is still here 12 years later. We are so blessed.

Guest Bathroom Christmas Decor

December 9, 2013 By Meegan 1 Comment

Happy Monday. I had a wonderful weekend spent with our kids and grand babies.  I love when I am on my way home and my arms hurt form holding the babies so long.  Best feeling ever! I have been working on the Christmas decorating around our home since before Christmas.  I love this time of year and I am excited to share our Guest Bathroom Christmas Decor with you today.

In this room I decided to go VERY simple.  I kept my blues, whites and added a little greenery and natural elements.

Guest Bathroom Christmas Decor

First off, I filled my lantern with pine cones and “snow”.  It says Christmas to me.  The (thrifted) demi-john bottle has just 1 sprig of greenery and berries for a Christmas touch, as well.  The framed note was written to me by one of our sons when he was 5 yrs. old.  It says, “I love you”  Precious.

My Christmas angels are all in one place.  Reminding us of all those who are watching over us daily.  Each angel was given to me by someone very special and significant in my life.

The angel on the left is from my sweet friend Dianna.  We are kindred spirits.  No matter how far or long it has been when we see each other-it is as though it was yesterday.

The tall and middle angel is from my daughter Leora.  She and her husband lived in Egypt for several months.  She found a family that made Nativities from the red clay there.  She knew how much I like angels and brought me this precious angel for Christmas.

The angel on the right is also from Dianna.  When I was moving to another town.  She bought me this as a going away gift.  (Told you, kindred spirits)

The angels hanging below are from my Aunt Betty.  She is and has been an angel in my life, my whole life.

You will also see that I added simple greenery to this shelf, too.

On my cute, blue cupboard I placed a few of my favorite things: books, coral from Maui, a ceramic bird, and simple greenery.  Just the right Christmas touch.

And the icing on the cake in the bathroom is my wood tray filled with dried pomegranates, magnolia leaves, artichokes, and tree sprigs.  Love these Christmas colors of red and green!!

I hope you have enjoyed my Guest Bathroom Christmas Decor today.  It is always fun  to share my home and Christmas ideas with you.
