Are you always feeling rushed Christmas morning to make breakfast? These 60 Minute Cinnamon Rolls are the answer!! They can be ready by the time the presents are unwrapped!
I start out by using my 60 Minute Yeast Roll recipe. Super easy, even if you are not a bread maker-you will be able to make these. I promise! This post was updated in 2025.
After the dough rises the first time, I roll it out in a semi rectangle. (I am just not that good at making a true rectangle, like I should) “Butter” the dough with 3 Tablespoons real butter, then sprinkle 3/4 cup mixed with 1 tsp cinnamon over the butter. You may also add chopped nuts, dates, or raisins.
Roll the dough carefully, and slice into 1 1/2 inch slices. Place on a greased baking sheet. Cover with a towel and let rise for 15 minutes.
After they have risen, bake for 12-15 minutes. Let cool for 1 minute, then frost with a mixture of 2 Tablespoons melted butter, 2 cups powdered sugar, and 1 tablespoon milk (or cream)
Your family will be very impressed!! Freshly baked cinnamon rolls for Christmas breakfast with sliced oranges and a glass of eggnog?? I can’t think of anything better!
As Christmas is fast approaching, we will be busy with our family, friends and the grand kiddos. Yay!!
Next week I will be posting:

I have an obsession with book pages! Any chance I can I use them. They can be large or small. The older the better! Another fun thing about book pages is that you don’t have to spend more than a $1.00 for any one thrifted book.
You can give a vintage book new life by making crafts with the book pages. I have made 18 book page crafts (so far) to show you here. Each one is unique and creative.

Here are just a few things I like to do with book pages:
For the Open House we are have 4 kinds of pizza (made in a wood fire pizza oven in a back yard!) and 6 kinds of homemade cakes, so each one needs a label.
For our son’s wedding, I made chalkboard signs for the food, and I promised you a tutorial for it. They are so easy and they turn out great.
