Yummy! Do I ever have a delicious Summer recipe for you today. Have you ever had Albacore Tuna with Dates & Granny Smith Apples? I had it for the first time about 30 years ago. It was so tasty, I have been making it ever since.

I thought you might enjoy the recipe, too.

Start with your fresh ingredients…

Tuna with Dates and Apples

{Albacore Tuna with Dates & Granny Smith Apples}

1 large can of solid white albacore tuna (in water)

3 Tbls light mayonnaise

1/2 granny smith apple chopped in small pieces

1/2 cup fresh dates chopped in bite size pieces

chopped almonds, if desired

drain water from tuna can

flake into small pieces

add mayonnaise, a little bit at a time to your taste or texture

mix in chopped apple and dates until evenly mixed

add chopped almonds

Ideal for a tuna sandwich, salad mix-in, or with crackers and chips as a dip.

This recipe for Albacore Tuna with Dates & Granny Smith Apples is the perfect balance of crunchy, sweet and a little tart from the granny smith apples. The dates give a sweet and a chewy texture. Mmmm…I love dates, don’t you?

You can also use shredded cooked chicken breast instead of tuna, if you like that better. Or don’t have a can of tuna on hand. It is just as delicious and tasty.

The recipe of Albacore Tuna with Dates & Granny Smith Apples will become a mainstay on your monthly (or even weekly) menu. I promise.

Thanks for joining me today. I enjoy sharing my family recipes with you.

Below you will find a couple more that you might be interested as well.

Have a great day.
