October 23, 2017 By Meegan Leave a Comment

It’s that time of year for warm comfort foods. If you like grilled cheese sandwiches, then you will LOVE my Grilled Cheese and Apple Sandwich Recipe.

It has the tang of cheddar cheese and the sweetness of a Gala apple.

It is an easy recipe that can be made up for a quick meal. You know those days when you are running around from shopping to football games and then grocery shopping. You know what I mean, right?

It is that kind of recipe that everyone likes, with just a few ingredients, you are on your way to a delicious meal.

My Grilled Cheese and Apple Sandwich Recipe

2 slices of bread (i used gluten free) BUT, I think this would be delish on sour dough

2 Tablespoons real butter

1/2 Gala apple sliced thin (I used a mandolin to get ultra thin slices)

Thin slices of sharp cheddar cheese.

Butter both pieces of bread.

Place one piece of bread in medium high skillet. Butter side down

Add a couple of thin cheese slices to bread.

Let the bread and cheese heat up until cheese is almost melted.

Place thinly sliced apples on melted cheddar cheese.

Add the rest of the cheese slices over apples.

Place the other buttered bread slice on top of cheese.

Flip sandwich over. Grill until all the cheese is melt and oozing out the sides.

Your  Grilled Cheese and Apple Sandwich is ready for eating.

Serve your Grilled Cheese and Apple Sandwich Recipe with tortilla chips and salsa, cut up fresh veggies or a bowl of soup.

It will be delicious even on it’s own.

This is a recipe that will be in your recipe file for years to come.
