Welcome to the first ever Hometalk Home for Fall event! With over 50 bloggers sharing their Fall creativity, you are sure to be inspired!
If you haven’t visited my blog before, I am Meegan. I live in a tiny condo in the middle of Las Vegas. BUT, I call it my “Cottage in The Desert”.
If you like blue like I do, you will love my Home For Fall décor and ideas.
I don’t have a mantel, so I use my 1970s stereo as a substitute.
I filled it with REAL and FAUX pumpkins. Using vases, urns, pedestals, and wood stumps to create levels. I also had fun wrapping some of them in tulle tied with burlap and/or jute.
Using Fusion Mineral Paint I was able to create a blue pumpkin for my mantel. The rusty nail heads are just the right touch for a stem, don’t you think?
I carried over the blue on our open shelves in the kitchen/breakfast nook area. With blue mercury glass candle sticks and a mini demi-john (from TJMaxx) I had just the right amount of blue I was hoping for.
Adding two silver trays, and my thrifted chalices, I had classic elements.
With vintage books and another wood stump, I got the rustic look I hoped to add to my open shelving.
I painted my faux pumpkins white as a way to carry throughout the styling of the Home For Fall shelves.
With a rustic and worn grapevine wreath placed against the silver tray, I had a great contrast with rustic and classic.

Meegan the blue sprinkled throughout is so pretty. It is a nice but different take on traditional Fall décor.

Love your faux pumpkins. Especially the blue mineral paint one. Thanks for sharing that idea. I’ve never heard of that one before. Rusty nails head were spot on too. Have a great week!

I love your color scheme! I used cheap candle sticks for some of my pumpkins to vary the heights; it works great!

All of your details are so pretty. Such a lovely subtle colour scheme too! I loved how used a rustic nail as a stem for your pumpkins.

Hi Meegan, i love the blue !!! I have done my Master bedroom and bath in that beautiful pale Turquoise shade. It seems I can’t get enough of it lately and it’s everywhere i look. I just saw a “Fall” decor with the blue added for the first time, today and so love it instead of orange all the time. ( never have been an orange person, lol ) Well enjoy your beautiful blue, thanks for the tour ! Happy Fall <3
