Spring Shelves 2014

April 14, 2014 By Meegan 7 Comments

Wasn’t I JUST sharing my Christmas decor?  And now it’s time for my Spring Shelves 2014.  Whew!

But before that,  I want to thank so many of you that left me sweet messages after my What Makes Meegan post. Your thoughts, experiences and sweet words melted my heart.  Thanks from the bottom of my heart.

Now on to something a little more fun today.  Okay.  We all know how much I like things that are blue and/or vintage, right?  Those are the two items I tried to incorporate in my Spring Shelves this year.

I didn’t buy anything special or new.  I decided to shop my house.  I had about 5 different ideas set-up, until I finally was happy with this.

Hubby bought me a HUGE bouquet of flowers.  I couldn’t resist breaking them down to several small stems .  I then could have fresh flowers ALL over the house.  The flowers for my Spring Shelves are sitting in either vintage jelly glasses or jars.  (My favorite type of vase)

I am head over heels for the birdie salt and pepper shakers.  I love to get them out for Spring.  Are they sweet, or what??  AND, there is always something just a little nicer about a vintage mason jar tied with string, don’t you think?

I made the book page decoupaged and stenciled birds before I started a blog.  I usually keep them in the laundry room.

I like using my moss wreath all year long.  But, I think this is my favorite time of year to display it.  The fabric banner is made with twine, painted and decorated clothes pins, and fabric swatches.  Easy peasy.

The shutter is one I found at a thrift store for $5.  I brought it home to make it look old.  I know, crazy, right?

With the yellow and lime green daisies, the moss wreath, shutter, and birds, mys Spring shelves are complete.  Each piece lends to bring some Spring into our home.

Thanks for stopping by, today.  You are such a great support to me.
I hope you will make up your own Spring Shelves 2014.

Make it a meaningful Monday!

Your Spring shelves look just lovely Meegan, I really liked your vintage Mason jars – the hint of blue goes so well with the sunshiney yellow!
