A few months ago I was blessed enough to receive a package from a dear friend. It was filled to the brim with tea cups, saucers, vintage doilies, etc… She knows me well. I KNEW exactly what I wanted to do- Design Spring Tea Tablescape Ideas.
While holding on to these new “treasures”, I was asked to join the “Celebrate Spring Blog Hop”. I couldn’t say yes fast enough.
For those of you coming over from Aratari at Home-Welcome! I am so glad to have you here. After you finish reading my blog post, take the time to visit The Roots of Home, as well.
This week has been filled with Spring mantel decor, porch decorating, handmade crafts, tablescapes and centerpieces. I will leave all of the links below for you to enjoy.
Have you always been intrigued with having a Spring tea party, like me?
In my minds eye, I picture everything from a beautiful tea pot, tea cups, saucers, delicate treats, various types of tea, pretty hats and lacy gloves.
In today’s time, setting a tablescape for a Spring tea can be formal or as in-formal as you want.
From gorgeous china, fresh flowers, vintage flatware, rustic tablecloths and cloth napkins, let YOUR imagination go free.
Creating a soft ambiance by lighting candles. These are sitting in handmade moss candle holders.
Beforehand, you might want to purchase enough flowers, ribbon and floral tape for each of your guests. Everyone can have the opportunity to make their own take-away floral arrangement-like I did here.
Using cohesive colors is pleasing and eye catching.
While layering your plates, and/or cups, they don’t have to be the same patterns. There are no rules for YOUR own tea party table.
If you have time, baking a homemade rustic, naked cake from scratch will delight your guests. Adding (non-poisonous) flowers to any treat makes every tea party that much more inviting and memorable.
Sipping on sparkling pink lemonade or your own drink selection is the best way to end any tea party, wouldn’t you say?
I hope you are inspired with these Spring Tea Tablescape Ideas. Each one could be used for a baby or bridal shower, wedding reception, or even “just because”.
It’s all about using what you have, getting your creative juices flowing and having a wonderful time in the process, isn’t it?
As I promised earlier, I am linking the Celebrate Spring Blog Hop below. Grab your favorite drink, relax and browse through all of the amazing Spring ideas you could ever imagine.
Make it a wonderful day.

I can’t even begin to explain how much I love this whole look, Meegan. Gosh, the daffodils look like they were made for that silver ice bucket, and then there’s the candlelight bouncing off the tarnished silver that looks like you captured mini sunsets to complete the picture. So lovely.
