THE BEST Ooey Gooey Caramel Corn

October 7, 2012 By Meegan 4 Comments

One of my favorite Fall treats is popcorn.  If it’s sweet, EVEN BETTER!  This is a recipe I have been making for years for our family.  It seriously is THE BEST Ooey Gooey Caramel Corn you will ever eat.  It is ooey gooey goodness to perfection!!

You will want the recipe now and for future use-I have no doubt about that.  The homemade caramel sauce is just the right sweetness for a gooey, sweet treat any time of year.

Start off by making 3 bags of Orville Redenbachers Natural Microwave Popcorn.  Although the salted is great as well, for that sweet salty taste.

{Meegan’s THE BEST Ooey Gooey Caramel Corn}

Heat in pan:
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 lb package brown sugar
1 cup corn syrup
1 cup butter

Heat until liquid hits soft ball stage (235* F). Boil 30 seconds longer. If cooked too long, it won’t be the gooey caramel you want for this recipe.

Take off heat.

Add:
1 tsp vanilla

Pour hot mixture over popcorn, just a little at a time, and cover popcorn thoroughly. Sprinkle a little salt over the top.

You may also add raw almonds, pecans, salted peanuts or coconut.

THE BEST Ooey Gooey Caramel Corn is ALWAYS requested at our family functions and during the holidays.   I am sure your family and friends will love it as much as we do.

It’s like eating a handful of caramel candy.  Who can resist that?

THE BEST Ooey Gooey Caramel Corn recipe will become a fast favorite around your home, as well.

Thanks for stopping by during your busy schedule.

Enjoy your day, and have a beautiful day filled with laughter, family, and fun.

I am sharing more Fall recipes below, that I think you will REALLY like…
