Triple Berry Crisp Recipe

May 2, 2018 By Meegan 1 Comment

I like berries of any kind. But, mostly raspberries. I like blueberries in pancakes and blackberry pie. And since berry season is right around the corner, I thought I should make a Triple Berry Crisp Recipe.

Triple Berry Crisp Recipe

Ingredients:

3 cups fresh (or frozen) berries. I used: blackberries, raspberries and blue berries

juice from 1 lemon

2 Tablespoons granulated sugar

2/3 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup flour

1/2 cup oats

3/4 tsp cinnamon (optional)

3/4 nutmeg (optional)

1/3 cup butter (melted)

1/4 cup chopped pecans

Directions:

Place berries in a cast iron skillet (can be done in an 8×8 baking dish)

Squirt juice from lemon, and sprinkle granulated sugar over berries.

Mix brown sugar, flour, oats, butter and spices, thoroughly until creamy.

Sprinkle oat mixture over berries, evenly.

Add chopped pecans on top.

Bake 30 minutes at 375* or until berries are tender, topping is golden brown and/or berries are bubbling.

Serve warm. Top with ice cream or fresh whipped cream.

I like to make this Triple Berry Crisp Recipe for dessert or breakfast. I figure with all the fruit and oats, it is even more healthy than pancakes or even a bowl of cereal.

It has become one of my favorite “go-to” snacks, as well. You can make it as sweet as you want, or even use gluten-free flour for a healthier option.

I hope you enjoy my Triple Berry Crisp Recipe as much as I do. Give it a try and let me know what you think in the comment box below.

It is always a pleasure having you stop by my blog. It always makes my day just that much better.

Make it a lovely day.
