Hi everyone. I am really glad you stopped by today. If you haven’t been here before, my name is Meegan. I have lived by the ocean most of my life. Until 15 years ago we move to Nevada closer to Lake Mead rather than the ocean.
And I must admit, when we first moved to Nevada, on some days, I would just have to drive over the hill to see the water. Then I could breathe. The water calms my soul and I feel rejuvenated just looking at it.
That is why I have created a home filled with a Beach Cottage Decor-Waterside Blog Tour. It doesn’t matter what time of year it is-I love beach decor in our home.
It could be anything from painted silver shells as candle holders.
Or a small vintage fountain filled with sea glass. I love Beach Cottage Decor.
The blue and green tones are my favorite. In the kitchen or in the living room.
Layering blues and green throughout our home with a few shells gives the idea of a beach home.
Simple sea glass on a tray that I made, adds texture and color. It was SUPER easy and gave me the look I wanted in our bathroom.
Our tiny condo front porch is filled with reminders of family outings at the beach.
And we could always use some refreshment on our tiny front porch.
Even my ruffled pillow has waves, like the water.
My grandma’s sea shell collection (well, at least one of her many) serves as an interesting conversation piece.
Thanks for joining me today for my Beach Cottage Decor-Waterside Blog Tour.

Your home is beautiful and filled with so much coastal charm. I have to admit that I too would go stir crazy if I lived away from the water. Even if I didn’t go swimming I still need to know that it is nearby.

This was so fun! I know how you feel about leaving the beach decor up all year. Blues and greens are my favorite colors, too. There’s just something about them that are so soothing. Oh and your Grandmother’s shell collection, how very sweet! Thanks for sharing your lovely home!

That was one of the main reasons we chose coastal decor. Growing up in So Cal with the beach available all the time, I missed it so much having lived 12 years in various parts of the NV desert. Water soothes the soul. Fortunately, a lot of that decor fits well now that we are in a place where “lakehouse” style is popular.
