Almond Cocoa Frosting Recipe from Scratch

October 30, 2019 By Meegan 2 Comments

It’s your lucky day! It’s a great day to visit my blog. I have a Almond Cocoa Frosting Recipe from Scratch that you NEED.

Almond Cocoa Frosting Recipe from Scratch, you say?  It is most delicious and a must have in every baker’s kitchen.  This is my all-time fave recipe for chocolate frosting.  Whether I use it on a chocolate cake, or even a Lemon Truffle Chocolate Cake-it is THE best!

Making recipes, especially dessert, from from scratch are so delicious. There’s something about the quality that puts store bought to shame.

Oh believe me, I buy store bought desserts and main dishes, when I am in a pinch. But I can never resist a “from scratch” recipe. Can you?

So, here we go…My Almond Cocoa Frosting Recipe from Scratch:

Almond Cocoa Frosting Recipe:

Ingredients:

3 cups confectioner sugar

1/3 cup real butter (softened)

3 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa

2 tablespoons whole milk or cream (may need a little more)

1 tsp pure almond extract

1/2 tsp pure vanilla

Directions:

Using the whisk attachment on your mixer, blend confectioner sugar, cocoa, and butter.

Gradually add milk, almond extract, and vanilla.  Mix until light and creamy.

I usually whip my Almond Cocoa Frosting Recipe from Scratch anywhere from 8 to 10 minutes. This will give you a light and airy frosting.

Frosting from scratch is THE best.  My Almond Cocoa Frosting Recipe from Scratch has fresh ingredients that make any cake, cookie or dessert taste even better.
I hope you will try it soon and let me know what you think. I am going to leave a few more blog posts that you might enjoy, below.

Your frosting looks good. Makes me wish I could still eat sugar whenever I wanted.
