Well, hello and welcome to What Meegan Makes. Today I am happy to show you a few of my January Highlights. If you are new here you will see various DIY projects, recipes and crafts that keep me busy here in my cottage in the desert.
I hope you will enjoy the January Highlights as much as I have putting them together.
Let’s get started with January Highlights…
I made a wreath with a scarf I loomed a few years ago.
I had fun adding crystals to a lamp I already owned. Now it adds some bling to our home.
I created TWO Valentine printables just for you. You can use them in your own home, or as gifts for someone special.
It is always fun to share your blogging friends creativity. So, I happily shared 14 Beautiful Valentine Crafts and Gifts for your home and family.
After my husbands quadruple by-pass surgery, I thought it would be a nice memento to make a vintage pillow for Valentines Day. Really for anytime of year. It actually would great on our bed.
After Christmas, I wasn’t quite ready to get ready for Valentines day. Instead of a red or pink wreath, I thought our front door would look nice with my mid-winter framed wreath. It was SUPER easy to make and I love the look of the chippy frame with the sparkles of the Wintry wreath.
Of course, we always need a little comfort food during Winter, right? Try my Creamy Potato Soup from scratch. It is MUCH better than the first time I made it. My first potato soup was less than appealing…
I found a 1970s stereo and painted it with my own chalk paint recipe. I took my time painting it. And love the new look. And, yes, the stereo works! It looks fabulous in our desert cottage.
Joining several other bloggers, I shared three tips that I use around our home to save you time and money. Sounds great, right?
Shortly after Christmas, I was part of a Winter Party hosted by Hometalk and Country Living. I enjoyed working on my Winter White Home Decor.
As a blogger, every year I chose a focus word. It helps me with my goals, my blog posts and what I want to obtain as a blogger. Of course this also flows into my personal life, as well. This year my focus word is PURPOSE.
Lastly, I have a FREE printable for you with a quote from Anne of Green Gables. I have loved the books and even more so loved the movies. Have you seen them? If not, you should. This quote pertains to a friendship I had to let go of this past year. It was not easy. You can read about it here.
Thanks for joining me as I shared my January Highlights.
