Turkey Cottage Pie Recipe

December 7, 2020 By Meegan Leave a Comment

My Turkey Cottage Pie Recipe was given to me by my dear friend and amazing cook, Lee. Ever since that first bite over 20 years ago I have craved it. It is a wonderful comfort food with all the flavors and spices of Fall and Winter.

You can use your Thanksgiving or Holiday leftovers for this cottage pie or make it from scratch like I did here.

Turkey Cottage Pie Recipe

Stir ingredients together and simmer until thickens:

1/4 cup real butter

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1-envelope Lipton Onion Soup Mix

2-cups water

Add:

2 cups cut up or shredded turkey

Place in large casserole dish:

1 package frozen peas and carrots

1 1/4 cups shredded swiss cheese

Mix well.

Top with:

3 cups mashed potatoes

May sprinkle more Swiss cheese on top.

Bake at 350*-375* for 30-40 minutes.

This Turkey Cottage Pie Recipe will fast become a family favorite around the Holidays and all through the cold Winter months. You can serve it alone or with fresh homemade rolls and a salad.

I hope you enjoy this delicious recipe as much as I do.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. It is always a highlight of my day.
