DIY Book Page Bird Nest
Isn’t it a beautiful Spring day? I am in California helping my mom recover from a hip replacement surgery. She is slowly recovering, but doing really well. I am enjoying the green hills and the birds singing while I am here. And, of course the quality time I am having with my mom. I am also excited to spend Easter with some of our sweet grand kiddos.
If you know me, you know I like vintage and book pages, right? Well, I have the ideal book page bird nest for your Easter table or for anytime of year. This is MY version of a DIY Book Page Bird Nest.
Isn’t it sweet?
Let me share with you how I made my book page bird nest.

Book Page Valentine Art
I have been working on my Valentine Shelves and thought you might like to see the Book Page Valentine Art I made last week. I am really liking it, AND it was easy peasy!!
Doesn’t it look great for Valentine’s Day?? I love making anything with book pages, so I could not resist making book page Valentine art.
I started out with 2 book pages from a vintage dictionary I bought from the thrift store. I sealed them together with a glue stick. Using a cookie cutter as my guide,
Using a cookie cutter as my guide, and a pencil, I traced around the heart.
I used just very little paint, so you could see shades of red, not just a red painted heart. Some areas are darker than others, wwhich is the look I was hoping for.
This picture is a good example of what I mean. There are various shades of red depending on how little or how much paint I had on my brush. I tried hard to define the points and curves on the heart, so it didn’t look like a blob from a distance. Besides that, It looks perfect with my Valentine Polka Dot Bunting I shared with you on Saturday.
Finding the perfect frame for my Book Page Valentine art was easy. I like to use empty frames for decorating all around our home, this one is from the living room. I placed the book page Valentine art in the frame a put it on my kitchen shelves. Just the way I pictured it!!
What do you think, are you going to make some book page Valentine art ?? Let me know if you do, I really would love to hear about it.
