Meegan’s Homemade Oatmeal Bars From Scratch
Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup raw oats
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp soda
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup melted butter
Directions:
Mix together with a fork until everything in covered and incorporated with the butter
Add in chocolate chips, chopped nuts, dried cranberries or raisins
Press into 9 inch square pan or pie dish.
Bake at 350* for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
I like to bake mine in a pie dish or cast iron skillet then serve them as triangle shapes, just for something a little different. But squares are just as nice.
Serve with a nice cold glass of milk for an afternoon snack or desert. My kids like to put them in a bowl and pour the milk over them for breakfast. They are the perfect sweetness, but not to sweet.
What I am saying is that you have got to try my Homemade Oatmeal Bars From Scratch. They will fast become a “go to” recipe for you, too. Enjoy!
