Lime Jello Cream Cheese Salad with Crushed Pineapple

November 22, 2019 By Meegan Leave a Comment

I just love Holiday recipes. Especially when the are tried and true and passed down from generation to generation. My mom’s Lime Jello Cream Cheese Salad with Crushed Pineapple is one of those recipes.

Whether it’s Thanksgiving, Christmas, or 4th of July, this is a wonderful recipe for any celebration.

I think you will enjoy this recipe for years and years to come!

Lime Jello Cream Cheese Salad with Crushed Pineapple Recipe

Ingredients:

1 large package lime Jello

16 large marshmallows

1 cup whole milk

6 oz cream cheese

1-15 oz can crushed pineapple (un-drained)

1 cup heavy cream

2/3 cup mayonnaise

whipped cream for decorating

Directions:

On low heat, melt marshmallows into milk in a large sauce pan.

Pour lime Jello over marshmallow and milk mixture. Stir until Jello is dissolved.

Stir in cream cheese until dissolved and mixture is creamy.

Gradually stir in crushed pineapple and mayonnaise.

Take off heat and let cool.

While waiting for Jello mixture to cool, whip up 1 cup heavy cream, until stiff peaks.

Once Jello mixture is completely cool, fold in whipped cream.

Pour into a decorative 9×9 inch dish.

Place in refrigerator for 3 to 8 hours to solidify.

When completely gelled, garnish with whipped cream.

This is a perfect side dish to any savory meal.

The Lime Jello Cream Cheese Salad with Crushed Pineapple recipe will be a staple at every Holiday meal. The sweet combination of marshmallows and Jello along with the savory flavors of cream cheese and mayo are a great balance, full of flavor. And it is OH SO creamy! Yum.

We have had this as a side dish in our family for AT LEAST 55 years. And we don’t skip a Holiday without it. I hope you try it soon and let me know what you think. I guarantee it will become the same for your family, too.

Thanks for visiting today!
