If you are anything like us, you like to eat and you love pizza! I think Hubby could eat it every other night. And the OTHER every other nights would be In-n-Out Burger…
It is fun to go out an have a REALLY good pizza. But there are many times I just want that homemade freshness and flavor. I have finally perfected my recipe-I thought you might like to know How To Make Homemade Pizza.
Doesn’t it look delicious? It is the best!
A key to a great tasting pizza is crust from scratch.
A key to a delicious homemade pizza are fresh toppings.
A VERY important key for a perfectly cooked pizza is to use a pizza stone.
When you use and apply all of these keys-This is your result. Perfection Pizza!!!
{Meegan’s Pizza Recipe}
Pizza Crust
4 cups flour
2 T sugar
1 T yeast
2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups warm water
2 T olive oil
Measure flour, yeast, sugar and salt into a bowl. Add water and olive oil. Knead with a hook on your mixer or by hand until dough forms together in a solid ball. If it is too dry, add water 1T at a time. Let rise for 30-45 minutes. Roll out to fit your pizza stone. This makes a large enough crust for good sized edges. And if you have extra make some bread sticks-YUM!!
Toppings
fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
fresh sliced tomatoes
freshly minced garlic
fresh sliced bell peppers-red, green, and/or yellow
fresh sliced onions
fresh sliced squash-zucchini, crookneck squash
sliced mushrooms
fresh spinach
1 T Italian seasoning
freshly grated Parmesan cheese
red pepper flakes
salt and pepper to taste
Heat oven to 450*. Place pizza stone in the oven for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes take it out, sprinkle the stone with cornmeal. Add your rolled out crust. Your crust will already start to rise as it hit the stone. Brush dough with 1 T olive oil. Working quickly add your toppings. I like to add the cheese first and go from there. Add your toppings to make your own perfection pizza.
Bake pizza for 15-20 minutes.
So there you have it…How To Make Homemade Pizza. A fabulous pizza you don’t need to go out for.
Enjoy it any night of the week for family, friends and guests that stop by.
Have a wonderful day!

OK I have tried a million times to make homemade crust and it always turns out flat and floury, it never get’s browned like that. I buy fresh dough from Publix but would LOVE to learn to get it right, any helpful tips to help my woes?

Really the recipe I share here is the best I have found. I have been suing it for about 30 yrs and I can say that maybe only 2 times it didn’t work. And, a pizza stone makes all the difference.
Good luck Kelley!! xoxoxo

YUM! We LOVE homemade pizza. I love making the dough in my bread maker and freezing it. I don’t have a pizza stone though – need one! Pinned this because I’m always trying new dough recipes!
